Campus
MiLC shares its facilities with Lews Castle College / University of the Highlands and Islands.
The college is located in the Castle Grounds -- a spectacular setting near the Stornoway harbour.
Library
The library is of a university standard with thousands of books and ample areas to study.
Computers
The computer facilities are second to none as the ratio for student to computer is 1:1.
Reception
From the moment you step inside the school the reception area gives you a feeling of comfort and an ideal place to meet other students.
There are notice-boards telling of events happening in and around the campus. Leaflets and free newspapers announce events happening in Stornoway so that you can plan your social timetable with friends on campus.
In the reception area there is a reception office (seen through the balcony railings).
There is also a student shop and student services where students can buy snacks, toiletries, stationary, etc or ask any information from the student service officer.
Refectory
Now, the most important place on campus -- the place to get something to eat... The refectory is a great place to eat, relax and chat with friends. With an excellent choice of food, the refectory recharges your battery for your afternoon classes.
Alternatively, if you want to eat out in the garden there are ample areas for enjoying the bracing Hebridean air.
Classrooms
We have classrooms that provide real intimacy and, with small class sizes, the teacher is able to spend a lot of time with the student one-to-one.
Finally, we have a conference room where students can watch movies, give presentations and receive their awards at the end of each term.
