MiLC aims to:

• Teach quality English courses

  Our unique selling point is the fantastic location of the Hebrides. While a lot of students may think of London and other major cities, they should consider the Hebrides. We are in a very safe natural environment and we are also a small community where it is very easy to make friends and practise your English. You become a part of the community and we encourage that. We value you as a person and want you to enjoy your time here.

• Promote cultural awareness

  We hope that we can create an international hub in the Hebrides where people of many cultures can exchange and promote their own culture. We also are focussed on not only teaching English but other languages and support langauge learning in the Hebrides.

• Promote the Hebrides and its distinctive culture

  The Hebrides has its own distint culture as well as its location. The Gaelic langauge and culture is so important and we aim to promote it as much as possible. We always introduce the student to basic Gaelic and we have trips round the island to introduce the student to the way in which the Gaelic culture and language have shaped the lifestyles of islanders over the years.

• Build closer links with other countries

  MiLC is ambitious and wishes to build links with other countries. We have very close links with China, Tunisia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iran and Canada and we wish to build on these links and set up more.
