Paolo Dei's Testimonial (Italiano)

I’m an Italian student. My name is Paolo and I live in Barberino di Mugello, a small village in the countryside North of Florence. I decided to attend a language course during my holiday in the Isle of Lewis. I looked for a school in Lewis and I found MiLC (Murray international Language Centre). I arrived in Lewis on 4th of July evening and met the Director Gordon Murray, a smart and friendly man. He stayed with me until night: he showed me my flat, he helped me to bring my stuff into my flat and he showed me the closest supermarket to buy something for dinner. The day after he stayed with me all the day long: he showed me the town of Stornoway and he paid for my lunch in a Thai restaurant. My course lasted 2 weeks.
The language course was interesting, enjoying and useful for me. My teacher was Alex. Alex was very, very, very, calm and patient with me because my English level is very low. The lessons took place in the College of Lews, in a relaxed and peaceful place. The classrooms were wide, quiet and there were posters on the wall.
The 2nd weekend of July, in Stornoway, there is the Hebridean Celtic Festival, famous for its Celtic music.
To sum up, I would recommend MiLC for its stimulating learning environment, for the good teachers and for the fascinating location and its Celtic culture. I would also recommend to attend a language course in Stornoway because of its traditional pubs where you could listen to live music.
